Eric said that we need a few more parent representatives this year and he is sure that Brandon and Nicole Stark will join the council.

We watched the school land trust video called Touch the Future. Here are a few of the ideas presented in the video

The school land trust money is to be used to enhance student learning and affect academic areas.

The money is targeted to be spent on areas deemed important by the council based on data.

There should be measureable results.

The steps of a community council

VI.Create a school trustland plan

Jenny and Dawn would like copies of the Trustland plan for this year. Tony, Amy, and Eric would like an electronic version.  Here is the link for the electronic version.

We talked about at the next meeting we will bring in data from this year to discuss areas of needed improvement. Before the next meeting all council members should read through this year’s trustland plan so that we can discuss which areas we will keep in place for next school year and what areas we will change.
