PTA Minutes 9-11-2019

PTA Minutes September 11, 2019

 

In attendance: Sarah Christensen, Jill Ellsworth, Taylor Lee, Lisa Thomas, and JaNell Rentschler

 

Items Discussed:

  • The bank stated that all members needing to be on the bank account needed to be present at the time all names are being changed.  Those proposed to be added to the account were Lisa Thomas and JaNell Rentschler.  Those names proposed to be taken off the account were Ashley Favaro and Kimley Jolley.  A vote was taken for the proposed change and the vote was unanimous in favor of the change.

 

  • All members present reviewed the budget and a unanimous vote was in favor of passing the budget for the upcoming school year.

 

  • An item the PTA is looking into helping fund is new flooring for the playground.  Research is still needed to find out costs for a foam type flooring to replace the sand.

 

  • Upcoming meetings will try to be held on Wednesdays

 

  • In order to help communicate with all PTA members, it was proposed to put together a GroupMe account to help easily communicate with all members.

 

  • Popcorn day will be the second Wednesdays of the month.

 

  • It was proposed that the PTA order 30-40 extra school shirts so that when students move into the school have a t-shirt to wear on spirit day.

 

  • For the upcoming school carnival, it was proposed to hold it on a Friday.  The tentative date is November 15.

 

  • This year, Sarah is interested in possibly doing an awards night for the students who participated in reflections.  Sarah would talk with Principal Passy about doing that. 

 

  • Book Fair dates are October 14-16
