Discussed lock down drills and fire drills. What types of situations warrant a lockdown, evacuation, and sheltering in place. Practice drills are once a month. Practice fire drills are every other month.

Nate Shoell asked about maintenance workers in the building at the time of a lockdown. Discussed procedures with lockdowns with visitors in the building. Assigned personnel check bathrooms.
Becca Bennett asked about safety with volunteers in the school. Volunteers are to watch a volunteer video and review yearly.

Monitoring using Bark monitoring for schools. Bark flags students digital content and a notification is sent to the principal. Jessica Parsons asked about using Bark at home, Mrs. Vorwaller explained that if they are logged into their WSD account at home, Bark monitoring will be used.
Media usage is more prevalent than ever and it has not decreased since the pandemic.

Parents can long on to common sense and access lessons and resources.
Board approved Blocksi, a Chromebook monitoring solution. Full implementation district-wide will begin at the end of Nov. or beginning of Dec. 2023. With Blocksi, teachers can block sites and create lists of approved sites, as well as real-time tab monitoring.
